I am thrilled to be a part of the Aquinas Catholic community!  I have been teaching for 30+ years in both Catholic and public schools, and have taught all primary grade levels (prek- 6) with the exception of kindergarten and first grade.  I’ve taught in  DC, MD, NY, and most recently in Prince William County Public Schools here in VA.

I have six of my own children– 4 girls and two boys who are now grown– and 9 grandchildren.  One daughter lives in Australia and the other five live all over the US.

I consider it a blessing to have the opportunity to educate your child at Aquinas.  It is my goal to love your child, while challenging him or her to grow academically, spiritually, emotionally and socially.   I work to provide a safe, nurturing, disciplined, creative classroom; a place where mistakes are made, respect is given, Jesus Christ is loved, and accomplishments are celebrated.

“Never worry about numbers. Love one person at a time, and always start with the person nearest you.”
“Prayer is not asking. Prayer is putting oneself in the hands of God, at His disposition, and listening to His voice in the depth of our hearts.”

Did you receive the information about your child’s Saints project?  It was sent home last week.

Please notify me with the name of the saint your child wishes to research for the Saints project; I’d like to avoid students selecting the same saint.

I am so excited to watch your child learn about a special saint!  Please note the due dates for various portions of the project.

Our Virtue of the Month is Studiousness- ask your child what they learned at Monday’s Virtues Assembly about this virtue and the special two saints who are great examples of studiousness.
