In Elementary Spanish, students acquire Spanish through comprehensible stories, songs, and activities. We focus on key phrases and vocabulary.

This year, our 3rd and 4th graders read their first novel in Spanish, Capibara con Botas.

In 6th grade Spanish, students acquire Spanish by sharing about themselves, their friends and family, talking about their hobbies and their day at school.

Active participation is key.  How do you actively participate?  Focus on the speaker and look around the room for clues. Ask questions when you need more information and come to class EVERY day

This year, our 6th grade students read the Spanish novel, La Perezosa Impaciente.


Spanish for Heritage Speakers is designed for 7th and 8th students who speak Spanish at home or with relatives. The main goal of this class is for every student to be challenged at an appropriate level for him or her. Students read many interesting novels in Spanish as we work together towards biliteracy.
