“Nothing is more practical than finding God, that is, than falling in a love in a quite absolute, final way. What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the mornings, what you will do with your evenings, how you spend your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything.” -Pedro Arrupe S.J.

We have had a fruitful first two quarters in ALA. In addition to completing science research essays for the science fair, we have had the opportunity to study multiple novels in each class, including:

6th Grade: Tuck Everlasting, Lilies of the Field, and The Hobbit

7th Grade: The Giver, Little Women, A Christmas Carol, and The Chosen

8th Grade: Animal Farm, Treasure Island, and Hidden Figures

There is more literature and writing to be done in the second half of the year and I am looking forward to it!

God bless,

Miss Zengierski
