A child is God’s precious blessing to the world. As a Catholic School educator, I have had the honor and privilege of being a part of children’s academic and spiritual journeys. The following quote by Benjamin Franklin best resonates with my teaching philosophy in the classroom.
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. “
Dear Parents and Students,
It is hard to believe we are almost to Spring! Time really does fly by when one is busy and the students in K2 are VERY busy! I am so pleased with their progress across the curriculum!
I wish I could freeze the moment in time when your child realizes their own progress! It is a visual I would love to be able to share with you. It is something to behold as the “light bulb” illuminates and they know they did it!
Thank you for all the support you give your student at home. The daily practice of Word Lists, Blending Charts and Sight Words helps to strengthen their reading skills and fluency. The frequent opportunity to write at school and at home not only improves their handwriting but it also helps them to relax and let their creativity flow! The students are now writing 3 sentence stories for me using K2’s 4rules of a sentence! As their confidence grows so does the detail in their beautiful stories!
Thank you for sharing your most precious children with Aquinas and me! It is a joy to be a part of their world!
