At this year’s Gala Auction, we are proud to celebrate Mrs. Eileen Leckey, our longest-serving teacher who will complete her 42nd year of teaching at Aquinas with the 2023-2024 school year. Mrs. Leckey joined our faculty in August 1981, when Aquinas was only 4 years old. Throughout her tenure, she has witnessed the growth and transformation of our school in countless ways. Mrs. Leckey began her time at Aquinas as a first-grade teacher, a role she held for 29 years. Today, she is our beloved PK teacher who is known for her exceptional ability to implement the PK curriculum, academically prepare her students for Kindergarten, and host fun class parties while wearing fabulous themed attire. During her 42 years at Aquinas, Mrs. Leckey has taught over 1,000 students and is now teaching the children of her first students. She has the unique ability to remember the names and details of the students she has taught. We thank her family, husband Bill, and daughters Rebecca and Rachel, for sharing her with us for so many years.
