Students interested in playing sports for the 2019-2020 school year must have a current sports physical dated June 1, 2019 or later.  This physical will be valid for the entire 2019-2020 school year.  Please use the Aquinas Sports Physical form.  No athlete will be able to participate without their physical and full registration.

All students must have an Aquinas Sports Physical to play any sport at Aquinas School. 

 

Parents are responsible for coordinating their rides for their child.  Viritus certified/Compliant training for drivers is not required because the school is not responsible for coordinating carpool rides.  

All students must have an Aquinas sports physical to participate in practice, try-outs or games.  Registration has begun and teams fill up quickly.  Please turn in all paperwork to Mrs. Reale as soon as possible to be added to the team.  All athletes need the Winter Registration form, Aquinas sports physical, Concussion form, Transportation-Uniform Agreement, Parent permission for Transportation form, Use of Personal Vehicle form and registration fee to be considered registered for the team.  All of these forms can be found in the sidebar on the left of this page.  If you played a fall sport you only need to turn in the Winter Registration Form with payment to be registered.

Practices are announced by the coach and will not be posted after the first week.  Please listen to the coach for dates and times of practices.

Aquinas offers the largest Middle School Athletic Program in the Arlington Diocese.

General facts pertaining to all sports:

  • All athletes must have an Aquinas sport physical, dated after June 1, 2019 to participate in any sport. The form can be found in the school office, clinic or on this website in the forms box on the left side of this page .
  • Each team needs a team parent to help schedule car pools and an end of the season party.  If interested please contact Mrs. Reale.
  • Parents who are driving other athletes to away games and leaving school before 3:00 must provide a copy of a current drivers license and auto insurance.
  • Please see “Process for transportation to away games” in the forms box on the left side of this page.
  • All  practices will be announced by the coach or team parent.
  • Courtesy to Coaches: If you cannot make a game or practice, please notify your coach, so they can plan accordingly

2019-2020 Aquinas Recap:

  • Aquinas Boys Soccer team came in 1st place in the VCAC soccer tournament.
  • Aquinas Girls Volleyball team came in 3rd place in the VCAC volleyball tournament.

Regular dismissal, but your student athlete is changing for practice/game:

Please park in the middle of the school parking lot, stay in your car and follow the procedures for late pick-up.

Early release for game:

If you are driving a carpool, please plan ahead and ensure your license and proof of insurance are on file in the school. Pull into the circle in front of the school if you are driving a carpool.  Student athletes will be dismissed out to your car and you may leave to travel to the game.
