Principal's Welcome

Sr. Kateri Rose

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School website! Thank you for your interest in our school. Aquinas has a nearly 40 year history of excellence in Catholic education in the Dominican tradition providing an academic and spiritual formation to meet the needs of the whole child. We exist to serve the people of the Catholic diocese of Arlington, especially the parishes of Our Lady of Angels, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and Sacred Heart, and are enlivened by our accomplished faculty, our dedicated families, and our parish partnerships. At Aquinas, you will find a school with a clear Catholic identity where students are taught to live according to our school motto: fides et ratio.

Students at Aquinas receive a rigorous academic formation, which was recognized in 2011 when the school was named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Our rigorous curriculum, including a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Program, is balanced by a variety of formative programs and athletic opportunities, including band, foreign language, technology integration, robotics, drama, choir, and fourteen sports offerings.

All that we do in our school is built upon the strong foundation of prayer and the sacraments, for it is in response to Christ’s call to mission that we exist. Our students learn virtue and citizenship and become witnesses to Christ in the world equipped with faith and reason.

Please take some time to explore and enjoy our website. It will certainly afford you a glimpse into the school. However, we hope that you come and visit our school in person and experience for yourself the spirit of St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School as it is found in our students, our faculty, and our staff.

In Christ,

Sister Kateri Rose, O.P.
